RATIONALE BEHIND THIS ARTICLE

I cleared UPSC ISS Exam 2020 in the first attempt itself by studying rigorously for six months before the written exam. I am not saying that this much time is sufficient, but with proper planning, hard work, perseverance and luck, you may also clear such exams. Luck plays a very important role in such cases. Many personal and circumstantial factors also weigh in. So, through this article, I am trying to help the aspirants (aspirants of other exams may also follow) to plan their schedule.

STUDY LOGS DURING THE PREPARATION OF ISS EXAM 2020

I started the preparation in April 2020 and the written examination was from 16 Oct. 2020.

SOME OBSERVATIONS

I studied only for 16 days in May due to an important family function in the later half of the month.

CONCLUDING REMARKS

To achieve any target, you need proper planning, hard work, perseverance and luck. Luck is not in our hand, but other things are under our control. I once again quote my favourite shloka from Shrimad Bhagwat Geeta to conclude the discussion:

"कर्मण्येवाधिकारस्ते मा फलेषु कदाचन"

This loosely translates to: “Give your best without worrying about the result.”
